from the genus Caseodus.
Approximate Age:
310-312 million years old.

Unclassified tooth #4
The photo shows a very small (11/16 inch)
unclassified tooth. It is possibly a lateral tooth from the
shark Caseodus basalis. the top picture is a coronal view, and the bottom
picture is from below. The tooth is so small that an oblong piece of shale
was left attached to the tooth to facilitate handling.
Approximate Age:
310-312 million years old.
